Duncan Hunter Files For Primary Ballot

CONCORD, N.H. --Rep. Duncan Hunter has filed his paperwork to get on the New Hampshire primary ballot.

New Hampshire Secretary of State's office said officials received Hunter's petition and $1,000 check on Wednesday. He joins the growing list of Republicans trying to earn their party's nomination.

Duncan, who first was elected to the U.S. House from California in 1980, has made the U.S.-Mexican border a key issue in his struggling campaign. He has encouraged officials to increase immigration enforcement efforts, including extending the fence along the border with Mexico. He also sought to increase prosecution of smugglers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States.

This is great because it is a sign that Duncan Hunter is in this to win and won't be dropping out any time soon!
