ELKO - Duncan Hunter sees the mining industry the way he sees many other industries - it's best to keep jobs in the country.
Hunter, a Republican candidate for president, discussed mining and other issues, including wildfire prevention and building a fence along the United States-Mexico border, this morning during a campaign stop at the Elko Convention Center.
Other stops in Northern Nevada for the congressman from Southern California included a tour of a Newmont mine and stops in Carlin, Battle Mountain, Winnemucca and Lovelock.
